I don't know about the rest of you out there, but with 4 kids and a husband I tend to spread thin on the one on one time.
Today seemed like a great day to take some and spend it with just him. For Christmas we got Lagoon season passports and he has only gone 2 times this summer. So being the multitasker that I am, already had committed to take Josie and her friend. I decided Xander and I would go to Lagoon.
We walked in and the first thing he wanted to go on was the sky ride (its his favorite). So we enjoyed that and then I let him choose what rides we went on next and the next. There was a itty bitty problem though, my Lil' man is a gamer and he loves and I repeat loves games! So we had to battle that a bit I let him play one, but he would have done one right after another, not even caring if the prizes were girlie. He just LOVES the game! I feel kinda bad that I didn't let him play all he wanted, but I feel it is just a waste ya know.
It was such an eye opener to be with him without his siblings, how he acted and talked to me and how he carried himself. He was sooo excited to be there and appreciated all we did. There isn't anything more rewarding then seeing your little one waving to you each time he passes on the ride. I will treasure this day and remember it always. I love you Xan!

I love the kid questions. I totally want to do that...someday. Im so glad you had a day with Xander. That is so important. I take my kids on dates, but Lagoon would be sooo fun to do seperately. I know what you mean about how they act alone without sibs. So different and so angelic. I love it.
Good mommy! Hmmm? Where you surprised about the games, really??
Julia is the same way. It is better that she has her allowance because then she has to stop when she runs out of money instead of thinking it grows on trees. She doesn't ask to play games that much now because she usually wants to save her money. :) Way to go Mom. Have to love those Mother Son Dates!
