Confession...pie crust frightens me

Jen and I rollin out dough
Here they are unbaked
And here is the apple pie done and in it's glory!

I have this really swweet husband who about 2 weeks ago brought home a case of apples from his favorite fruit stand in Orem. His favorite apple is golden delicious and really they did look like golden delicious, but surprise they were granny smith. I like a granny smith here and there ,but not a case full! So I was talking to my Mom and she suggested that I make pie. I said I don't know how, and I'm afraid. She just laughed at me and which as you all know when Mothers do this it just means your just being silly!

So that evening I walked over to my dear friend Jen's house, which is still up for sale but I am totally blocking and refuse to acknowledge or talk about. Who knows maybe it will go away, Windy's sign went away using the same process. Could happen!

We were doing our favorite thing ,just sitting on her porch watching the kids play I had mentioned that I don't know how to make crust, and I remember she is a pie maker extraordinaire; okay I didn't use that word geesh!
Being the generous, kind, loving person that she is she said she would help me! We had a blast on Friday and the pies were AMAZING!!!!

Your so funny. Good for you. I don't know how to make pie either, but I am sure there is no surprise there. Way to learn.
