This is Dr. Powell and his assistant right before they pull his tooth. The assistant is just gently laying her had over Xander's, he was really so very brave!
Below is him after all his work was done and they were taking an impression for the spacer he will need,due to the tooth they pulled won't have one grow in for a few years.
Look! He has no tears or red eyes and told me he would go back to the dentist again!
Xander last weekend started complaining that his tooth hurt. I looked at it and no wonder it hurt, he had some filling that had chipped off! So I took him to the dentist on Monday and the result was that he would need to have that tooth pulled and two silver caps put on. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong when putting my kids together, actually it is just he and Shay. Josie doesn't have near the problems they do.
We went back on Wednesday morning, expecting to be sedated which cost an extra $100 to see a new dentist who really doesn't like to sedate kids if he can avoid it. Interesting huh? Less money for him, weird? He talked to Xander about what needed to be done and what he would feel and need to do. And Xander made the choice to not go to sleep and stay awake for the procedure! I know! He is so brave! I was beaming with pride and praised him all day!
So it went like this, they gave him gas and then they numbed him up with a needle and told him he would feel a pinch and he did! He just kicked his legs a little, but didn't cry and make it hard for the dentist! They were really impressed with him, and so was I. Way to go Hulk man!

WOW!!! What a big boy. I know I wouldn't have had the same nice experience with my kids in that situation. What a good boy! Shay looks so beautiful. She is really growing up!!!
What a trouper! Dude can hang, and now he is going to be all blinged out with the silver tooth. I expect some good rap music to come out of all of this.
