My Birthday Weekend

My Birthday Rocked!

These are a present from my Mom that she went halfsies with me. Cute huh? I found out in the fall that I had Plantar Fasciitis, so these Klogs help tremendously!

My Birthday weekend is over, but let me tell you, it was well spent. It started off on Friday with the "Someone Special picnic" with my kids at their school. It is done annually and we, meaning my Mom and I go up there and have lunch with the kids. This was Josie's last year with her being in 6th grade and all, and Xanders first year. We had a lot of fun eating our Little Caesar's pizza and cheese bread and the kids chasing Brighton. Ya know big open space, and outside to boot means to him that you should run as fast as you can! We ate with Julia and Nick also, which meant Xander had to go home with them-- once they see each other they have to play. She took him to see "Up" with them and he had so much fun he didn't want to come home. Big surprise!!!

Later that afternoon David and I went to see Star Trek at the what we thought were the matinee times, but we missed it by a half and hour! It was really good, on the edge of your seat and great story and funny lines. I highly recommend it to anyone!

We came home from that and David got us into a (for those who don't understand World of Warcraft on this part you gonna go huh? lol So just skip over this!) raid in Naxx. I got two really nice pieces of gear and two weapons, one that David crafted for me and a boss drop. It had been a month since I raided, so it was a little nerve racking.

Saturday was a wonderful day also. I was able to finish reading a book. And then in the afternoon David had planned to watch both the boys and keep them occupied while Shay, Josie and I watched the 5 1/2 hr version of Pride and Prejudice! Oh my Mr. Darcy! I love that story!
All the while David provided us with our favorite movie watching treats; fresh veggies and dip, popcorn, chips and chocolate licorice and red vines. We had a lovely time!
We spent the evening watching Night at the Museum with the kids. So funny! David hadn't seen it yet so that made it even more fun.

Sunday was as always a busy day. After a wonderful breakfast of Daddy McMuffins, mine had fresh basil in the eggs and he used provolone cheese. Very food snobby huh? I went to do some music training in one of the wards in our Stake. It was so fulfilling to pass on some ideas and such to the new music leaders. I love my calling!

Our ward was fun also, David kept telling everyone it was my Birthday and trying to embarrass me, but he can't because I would have told them myself ! I love my birthday and I always have. I also had a talk with our Bishop after church, but cannot reveal what it was concerning right now! :) (**no spoiler alert here)

David made a wonderful dinner of shredded chicken that he put in quesadillas and a fresh mex salsa! It was delicious!!! I am so impressed with his cooking skills, that man just knows what tastes good together. And yesterdays meal was even more impressive, he didn't go shopping for what he needed. He just made due with what we had in our food storage. I love that Hubs of Mine! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
