Harmony Music Camp 2009

These cute girls love going to Music camp! This year we had them help out and pay for half of the $120 tuition. They did many many babysitting jobs for people in our neighborhood. The camp started a week after school got out and they were there 5 days a week from 9-noon for about 2 months. They met new friends from all over our city and got to see old ones from years past. I think what I love about Music camp is that it gives them an opportunity to learn to perform on stage and take direction, learn routines and work as a team. This year the Musical revue was "Hairspray", such cute costumes and the hair was definetly a process. Thank goodness for "Bumpits". Getting hair that big is quite a process and lots of hairspray.

This is the back of Josie's hair, she wanted the pony tail style and she loved the bows

Shay wanted the french twist, it is not so easy to do with layers. Thanks to my Mom who suggested curling it first and again lots of hairspray. She loved it!

During one of the numbers the kids would come out to the audience and get people to come on stage and dance. Shays friend Kevyn loves Bright, so she of course came and got him

This was a serious song about inaugration of black and white--very pretty song

Love this picture Shay looks like she is having so much fun!

Josie is the poser in the family so this was not hard for her. She loves the stage as much as Shay. She is hamming it up here.

One of the few pictures of Josie and Shay together on stage.

This is Josie's favorite picture, so of course I had to include it on the blog

The second part of the show is a spoof written and directed By Carol Balaich. This one is called Rockin Robin--based loosely on the life and times of Robin Hood.

In this picture Shay is a Bad girl and this is one of her evil faces.

This is her really evil face----I know she uses this one on us all the time! Not that she is evil, just almost 15 going on 21. Ya know!

In the show Josie was a Kitchen wench working in the Kings castle.

Olivia , Josie and her new friend Brianna. Josie was so excited to find a friend who will also be going to the same Jr. High as herself. Olivia is her friend from YW

Shay and her friends--New and Old. Looks like a fun bunch though

I am so glad to see the pictures! And we were talking about your sweet girls on Sunday at our RS Meeting. Chalyce was saying what a sweetheart Josie is and hoping her girls will be like her. I was saying that Shayleigh is such a great babysitter and my kids love her. You have a great family! I wish I could have come! Let me know when it is next summer!
