Yee Hooo!!! Wooo Hooo! Changes!!

I have been making a few changes in my life the last couple of months. My Mom and I decided we needed to get back on Weight Watchers. Now let me be clear, I didn't actually join. I don't have the extra money for that! I report to my Mom and she reports to me. We help each other by talking about our struggles and finding and trying new healthy recipes. One that she found and we love it Taco Stew, it has 16grams of fiber and is 4pts for Weight Watchers with a serving of 1 1/3 cup. I will post the recipe on here, I just need to get a picture of it first so you can see how delicious it is. I have been working on healthy eating and exercise for about 2 months and I am down 12 pounds!! YEAH!!! I love that I am in the double digits.

The other change I have made it that our Stake President has asked us to make this a more spiritual season. He has asked us to fervently study the scriptures for 30 minutes a day, Pray, Go to the temple, Serve your neighbors and Repentance.
While studying my scriptures I have had a lot to think about. I am studying the Book of Mormon and along with that I am using the Book of Mormon student manual. It has been really insightful and very uplifting. I want to share something from 2 Nephi 1 13-23 commentary from the manual. "Disobedience to the Lord's commandments allows Satan to deceive us, and we forget the light and truth we have previously learned.
President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency described this dangerous condition: " One of the effects of disobeying God seems to be the creation of just enough spiritual anesthetic to block any sensation as the ties to God are being cut. Not only does the testimony of the truth slowly erode, but even the memories of what it was like to be in the light begin to (seem) ...like a delusion". Isn't that amazing to think about, it has caused me to think about people I care about in my life and it has also force me to think about my own complacency at times. This scares me and motivates me to become the person that I know my Heavenly Father already sees and loves.
