Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho its off to a Hike we go!

This picture was taken at the gas station. Pretty silly I know, but Brighton Loves Dinosaurs and he sees this one around town so I thought we better get a picture of it. As you can see he doesn't love pictures taken of him. This was taken as we first got to the Uintah's, this is the Hubs favorite place. Camping, Hiking, Uintah's is the Prime spot. He loves it!

Brighton on the trail. He loves hiking if it isn't too far( he can walk over a mile) and he doesn't slip too much. It really upsets him it he falls too much. But really, wouldn't we all feel the same? He is only 3. He loves to fill his hands and pockets with rocks, so that definitely makes him a bit imbalanced. But he is a boy and throwing rocks is where it's at!
Xander tends to take the lead with his Dad. He loves to look for the perfect walking stick and climb every rock he can find. He has always been a climber---he is literally living in our trees in the back yard.
Here is the crew with my "Mr Incredible" He is so patient on the hikes and happy to take mini breaks, so the kids don't feel over tired.
My motley crew! We were lucky to have someone come along and take this so that I can be in the picture! We were heading to Wall lake which was about a mile hike. I forgot where we ended up, but it was more than a mile and it was in the opposite direction. We were so gung ho to start we didn't pay attention to the signs. I am sure there is a life lesson in that. lol
We found snow on our way up. Whatever hike we were on we ended up seeing bald mountain and saw a sign for 11,550 feet elevation. It was more difficult to breath at that level, but we got through it. On the way back Brighton kept saying "oh no I am crying again", but he wasn't even crying he was a bit whiny understandably. I would give him a drink and he would say"okay I am happy again". He walked about a mile and a half and then sat in the middle of the trail and didn't want to walk any more. The Hubs ended up carrying him the rest of the way. I hope that we will get back and go to Wall lake, but I think we better wait a few weeks, so the kids forget how tired they were.
This is Provo river falls, it is so beautiful. And so are these sister's who dressed alike in their girls camp shirts without even planning it. I love these sweethearts!
My Boys at Provo River falls. We stopped there on our way out, because like any little boys they love the water. Bright and Xan just wanted to throw rocks in. Big surprise!!
This was another hike we took that is near our house. It is called Adam's canyon and had a lot of switch backs, took us about 3.5 hours. It is very beautiful and after the switchbacks you are shaded on the trail by the trees, but it is not a hike for little kids. The Internet said it was good for families but they probably meant 8 and over. There were some parts really close to a river where you had to climb over rocks, which was difficult for our little one.
My cute family
